Goldendale Summer Stage
Aug 3-8, 2026

Goldendale Summer Stage was our first event in the Four Seasons Creative Showcase series. We brought together top-notch performers and the local community for workshops and live entertainment that included the audience in the show. We partnered with Father’s House, where the Missoula Children’s Theatre led rehearsals, and the American Legion, who graciously let us their space for the whole weekend event.

Schedule:

• August 3-7: Missoula Children’s Theatre - auditions and rehearsals for the youth musical “Wiz of the West”. 18 incredible youth were cast in the show, and rehearsed all week long. MCT directors also taught 3 workshops, all of which were open to the community at large:
  • Workshop 1: Acting. Tuesday, August 4 | 3:00–3:45 pm
  • Workshop 2: Behind the Scenes. Wed, August 5 3-3:45 pm
  • Workshop 3: Improvisation. Thurs, August 6 | 4-4:45 pm
• August 7:
  • 5-6 pm, Song-writing workshop with Lilly Miller. A group of aspiring song-writers worked with Lilly Miller to write a brand new song “The Barn is Coming Down”, inspired by a painting of an old barn that was demolished long ago.
  • 7-9 pm, Low Bar Chorale: The Low Bar Chorale is a live band that gives you the lyrics and invites you to sing along! They also performed the new song from Lilly’s workshop, with Lilly Miller singing and the audience singing along.
• August 8:
  • 11 am and 1pm, Wiz of the West! Two performances brought in over 100 people to see all the hard work and incredible talent of our local youth!
  • 4 pm, Henry Duyck - Comedian. Henry is one of Goldendale’s home grown stars. He got the whole audience laughing with his insights and anecdotes of growing up in Goldendale.
  • 4:15 pm, Jugglemania! A juggling show with knives, followed by a much less dangerous juggling workshop using bean bags!
  • 6 pm, Folk Fusion - folk dancing to modern music. A caller and an instructor taught the dances and led the group in 2 hours of folk dance fusion and fun!
